Heritage Raspberry

Heritage Raspberry is a time-tested, classic variety that remains a top choice among home gardeners and commercial producers for its reliable yields, robust growth, and delicious flavor. As an everbearing raspberry, Heritage delivers a continuous supply of juicy berries throughout the growing season, delighting anyone who savors fresh fruit straight from the garden. This productive raspberry plant adapts well to a wide range of climates, making it an excellent option for both beginner and experienced growers seeking a high-yield raspberry that consistently performs.
A defining feature of Heritage Raspberry is its dual harvest capability, offering two abundant crops each year. The first flush of berries appears in mid-summer on second-year canes, while a second round follows in late summer to early fall on new canes. These vibrant red raspberries boast a sweet-tart taste and are perfect for fresh eating, freezing, canning, or transforming into jams and preserves. With such an extended fruiting period, you’ll enjoy an ongoing supply of fresh raspberries that add a burst of color and flavor to countless recipes.
When it comes to disease resistance and overall hardiness, Heritage is notably reliable. This vigorous raspberry variety prefers full sun and well-drained, slightly acidic soil, rewarding proper care with steady growth and an outstanding harvest of high-quality berries. For the best production, follow a simple pruning regimen: remove spent canes after fruiting to encourage healthy new growth and good air circulation. Additionally, Heritage raspberries are self-fertile, ensuring fruit production from a single plant, although planting multiple bushes can boost overall yields.
Ideal for edible landscapes, backyard gardens, or u-pick farms, Heritage Raspberry proves its worth as a dependable staple in any berry patch. Its combination of old-fashioned flavor, heavy fruiting, and ease of maintenance has cemented its reputation as a go-to cultivar for those craving succulent, homegrown berries. Whether you’re a new gardener eager to experience the joy of harvesting raspberries for the first time or a seasoned grower looking to expand your orchard, you’ll find that Heritage offers a winning blend of productivity and taste. Plant Heritage Raspberry in your garden and enjoy a bounty of fresh, plump fruit season after season, a testament to this variety’s enduring appeal and proven success.

How we ship
Most orders go out via UPS with a 2-3 day transit time to most of the continental U.S. Plants are shipped dormant in late winter / early spring, packed wet to protect the root systems, and bundled by variety so they're ready to plant on arrival.
Hawaii & Alaska orders
For HI and AK addresses we ship via USPS. The other major carriers either don't service these areas for live plants or charge prohibitive rates that would more than double the cost of your order. USPS gives us a reliable, affordable path to get plants to you in good condition.
Want UPS or FedEx anyway?
If you're in HI or AK and want to use UPS or FedEx and cover the upgraded shipping cost, reach out to us immediately after placing your order with your order number. We'll send you the available options and a quote, and you can pick what works for you.
