We stand behind every plant we ship. Our guarantee comes in two parts: an Arrive-Alive promise that covers your plants on day one, and a 90-day warranty that covers them after they're in your ground.

Arrive-Alive guarantee

Every plant we ship arrives healthy and ready to plant. If a plant arrives damaged, broken, dried out, or in poor condition, we'll replace it free of charge. To file an Arrive-Alive claim, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the affected plants.

90-day warranty

If a plant fails to leaf out, doesn't establish, or dies within 90 days of receipt, we'll replace it free of charge for the cost of return shipping or send a new plant in our next shipping window. Bare root plants are dormant when they arrive, so it can take a few weeks of warm weather before you see growth. We ask that you give your plants a fair chance before filing a warranty claim.

To file a warranty claim, contact us with your order number, the date you planted, your USDA zone, and a brief description of how the plant has performed. Photos are helpful but not required.

What's not covered

Our guarantee covers plant health and viability. It does not cover:

  • Plants damaged by improper planting, neglect, or unsuitable growing conditions (planting outside the variety's USDA zone range, for example)
  • Damage from extreme weather, animals, pests, or disease introduced after delivery
  • Plants that have been transplanted multiple times or moved between properties

Refunds vs. replacements

Our default remedy is replacement, since we want you to have the plants you ordered. If a replacement isn't possible (the variety is out of stock for the season, for example), we'll issue a refund or store credit at your preference.

Returns of unwanted plants

Because plants are perishable and live, we don't accept returns of plants that arrived in good condition but are no longer wanted. If you change your mind before your order ships, contact us as soon as possible and we'll cancel and refund.
