Galaxy Blueberry is a Southern Highbush variety with one of the highest sugar contents of any blueberry on the market, measuring an exceptional 12.5 Brix at peak ripeness. The berries are large, light blue, and famously sweet, making this an outstanding choice for fresh eating straight off the bush.

This compact, upright bush reaches just 4 to 5 feet tall with a 3-foot spread, ideal for smaller gardens, raised beds, and patio containers. Galaxy is a low-chill variety requiring only 100 to 150 hours, making it especially well-suited to mild-winter climates. It produces very early in the season, often among the first blueberries of the year, extending your harvest window further into spring.

For best results, plant in acidic, well-draining soil amended with peat or pine bark. Galaxy is partially self-fertile but will produce significantly heavier crops when planted near another Southern Highbush variety for cross-pollination.

Excellent seller! He messaged me right away to let me know the item had already sold but offered to check if he had more available. He even dug up some of his personal plants to fulfill my order—truly top-notch service. The blueberry bushes arrived well-packed with plenty of padding and were in excellent condition.

How we ship

Most orders go out via UPS with a 2-3 day transit time to most of the continental U.S. Plants are shipped dormant in late winter / early spring, packed wet to protect the root systems, and bundled by variety so they're ready to plant on arrival.

Hawaii & Alaska orders

For HI and AK addresses we ship via USPS. The other major carriers either don't service these areas for live plants or charge prohibitive rates that would more than double the cost of your order. USPS gives us a reliable, affordable path to get plants to you in good condition.

Want UPS or FedEx anyway?

If you're in HI or AK and want to use UPS or FedEx and cover the upgraded shipping cost, reach out to us immediately after placing your order with your order number. We'll send you the available options and a quote, and you can pick what works for you.

Wholesale orders (100+ plants): We only ship wholesale orders on Mondays and Tuesdays. Larger orders sitting in a hot delivery truck over a weekend can damage or even kill the plants, especially for customers in the southern half of the U.S. Shipping early in the week ensures your plants reach you before any weekend transit delays.
